You met this wonderful guy online. He is everything you have ever wanted in a man. You are smart enough not to give your whole heart to him, until you can check him out, to be sure he's the one.
As far as you can tell, he is real. His job, date of birth, family members, etc, all check out.
You found him in the “long-term relationship” category on one of the popular dating sites.
Your best friend, is the opposite of you and is only looking for a one night stands or "hook-ups." So when she starts to describe her latest hook-up, he sounds just like your online guy.
You think about, but then decide that it couldn't be true, and you forget about it.
Later, after a few more incidents concerning your best friend’s one night stand, in another city, the same city your online guy lives in, you decide to do some digging.
Your research finds that your guy is your best friend’s "hook-up," and that he is listed on several other dating sites, including the popular site for older women, who sleep with younger men.
You wonder, how you could have been so stupid?
You look back through your e-mails and text messages. Nothing suggested that he was anything but a stand up guy who was lonely, because he was shy.
You decide to register on more sites, under the “long-term relationship” category.
Some interesting guys come up, and slowly but surely you make a left turn onto a different guy, in a different city whose NOT registered on other dating sites under one night stands.
Do you report the guy that tried to play you? Perhaps not, you don’t want to be a victim, and you would rather forget the whole incident. And then maybe you do, report him on one of those “report your ex” sites. Then you open yourself up to an online response, which could end up online, for everyone to see. You be the judge.
Move forward, say nothing and definitely don’t tell your next date. Some things we must keep to ourselves. To see a relationship video on this very subject of talking too much, visit: http://xicalovestories.com/video-relationship-advice.htm (third video down) it's worth a listen.
